Celebrate Nathan
Share photos from the celebration
Our boy was such a colorful, bright spirit. Thank you for joining us at Nathan’s Celebration of Life. Nathan would have loved the day - full of rainbow colors, sequins, love, friendship, community, laughter, support of each other, dancing, and fun. Your love and support means the world to us. We are grateful to share memories, tears, and hugs together as Nathan will forever be in our hearts. We all miss him so deeply.
Gates of Prayer
Read by Jen Cannard during the Hawaiian Paddle Circle
As long as we live, they too will live;
For they are now a part of us:
As we remember them!
At the rising sun and at its going down we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter we remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring we remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer we remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn we remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us. As we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart we remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make we remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share we remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs we remember them.
For as long as we live, they too will live,
For they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
PRAYER
Read by Tami Clark during the Hawaiian Paddle Circle
Dear God, we gather here today, surrounded by the power and beauty of the ocean in memory of Nathan. We thank you for the gift of this water, for the waves that carry us, and for the connection we share. We honor the memory of Nathan and for the bright light he was to each of us. We send our love and gratitude for the gift of Nathan with these flowers. May his spirit be at peace, and may his memory live on in our hearts. We pray for your comfort, peace and blessings for his family and friends. Amen
